Why I do this work

I believe progress happens when you feel understood and supported in a trusting therapeutic relationship. Pain and struggle are part of life—therapy helps you carry them differently and move toward what matters.

I didn’t come to this work from a distance. I have my own history with trauma, family separation/divorce, and finding my way forward from a broken family. Those experiences shaped me—and they’re part of why I feel called to help others heal. I feel called to the work of therapy because of my life experiences as well as abilities and strengths I believe were given to me to support those around me and provide healing for those who are hurting.

In therapy, I focus on building a relationship where you feel understood, then pairing that trust with tools you can actually use. My goal isn’t to “fix” you. It’s to help you build the kind of flexibility and clarity that lets you take steps toward the life you want.

Am I a good fit for you?

Fit matters. If you want consistent support and you’re open to learning a specific set of coping skills through ACT, we may work well together, especially if therapy in the past felt too vague or didn’t lead to meaningful change.

You want a flexible approach

ACT is skills-based and sessions are practical and focused on real-life application

You’ve tried therapy before

If you didn’t get results, a different model may help—especially a skills-based framework that differs from traditional approaches

You’re values-oriented

We’ll clarify what matters most to you and turn it into consistent, realistic steps

You want a committed therapist

I will be dedicated to discussing your needs and exploring options

You want faith-affirming care

Spiritual concerns are welcome at your pace—client-led and respectful

You’re ready to take steps

You don’t need to feel great to begin—you just need willingness to try something new

My Philosophy

Since 2016 I’ve worked with hundreds of clients. Many have shared that they appreciate my style and have made progress using ACT skills. Some have told me they spent years in therapy without traction, then began to see change once they had a clear model and tools to practice. ACT isn’t the right fit for everyone—but I’ve seen many people make progress they didn’t believe was possible with consistent work over time.
